EDI Implementation Guides

The IAIABC EDI Development Committees have developed Implementation Guides to:
 

  • Assist jurisdictions, carriers, vendors and service providers in developing standard Workers’ Compensation electronic reporting programs;
  • Establish standard trading partner requirements;
  • Encourage implementation of electronic reporting based on industry standards.
     

Implementation Guides

Implementation Guides are available for free download only by IAIABC EDI Members as one of the benefits of their membership. If you are not an EDI Member, you may purchase the Implementation Guide in the IAIABC Online Store.

Please note that all IAIABC Implementation Guides are copyrighted material of the IAIABC, and unauthorized duplication of the Guides is prohibited. Users within the same organization may share the Implementation Guides that they have accessed as a benefit of their EDI Membership or have purchased, but may not share downloaded products with anyone outside their organization.


Code Values and Changes to the Guides

Unused data element code values for any IAIABC standards product (Claims, Proof of Coverage, Medical) are reserved for future IAIABC use and may not be assigned and used for any proprietary purpose. Proposals to add new codes should be submitted through the IRR Process.Suggested changes to any IAIABC product may be submitted for consideration by the Development Committee by submitting an Issue Resolution Request Form. New editions will be released no more than once a year.
