EDI Council

Mission Statement
It is the mission of the EDI Council to enhance the decisions of workers’ compensation policy makers by promoting and facilitating voluntary consensus standards for the electronic exchange of data, and safeguarding their integrity so information can be exchanged economically and be readily accessible and comparable between jurisdictions.

The EDI Council is composed of representatives of 12 jurisdictional members and 12 associate members.  To qualify for membership on the EDI Council, associate members must be both IAIABC members and EDI members.  Each year, eight of the 24 EDI Council members are appointed by the IAIABC President for three-year terms.

The EDI Council is the overseeing body for all the EDI Committees.  It sets policy and direction for the EDI Committees, which report to it, and it decides when EDI committees should be established or dissolved.  The EDI Council reports directly to the IAIABC Executive Committee.  The chair and vice-chair of the EDI Council are elected annually.
