IAIABC/WCRI Inventory of Workers' Compensation Laws

In summer 2007, The Workers Compensation Research Institute (WCRI) and the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) announced a new partnership to continue publishing a key resource for workers’ compensation professionals.  For the past twenty years State Workers' Compensation Laws, an inventory of the states, had been published annually by the U.S. Department of Labor. The Department ended the publication in 2006.

According to a survey done by the IAIABC, users of that publication found great value in this annual report.  As a service to IAIABC and WCRI members and other system stakeholders, the WCRI agreed to conduct the study with assistance by the IAIABC.  This is the first collaborative effort between these two organizations.

Although every effort has been made to ensure the characterization of the laws are accurate and fairly stated, it is inherently difficult to summarize complex laws with complete accuracy for all applications of that law. We invite the user community to identify items where they believe correction or clarification is needed and to send that feedback to WCRI at sdeeley@wcrinet.org.

The survey report is available online, free of charge, to IAIABC and WCRI members. Please login as a member to access the following reports.
