Program Description

The IAIABC and NAWCJ (National Association of Workers' Compensation Judiciary) are proud to host this two-day joint Judicial Program, as part of the IAIABC 99th Annual Convention

Experts will share their insights and experiences sessions on: 
 
  • Evidence for Adjudicators: Gain a deeper understanding of the rules of evidence and how to apply them inyour courtroom
  • Mediation Basics and Practice: Learn the fundamentals of mediation how it can be used to fairly and expeditiously resolve disputes
  • Appeals: View From Above: Get insight on how to persuade (and not irritate) appeal judges
  • Judges' Roundtable: Appreciate frank discussion on current adjudicatory issues including new technology and dealing with difficult parties

Who Attends?

The Judicial Program will be most valuable to workers' compensation judges and directors of adjudication or mediation. Senior regulators with management responsibility over adjudication will also benefit from the program. 
 

Registration

There are two registration options for this program: Attend the Judicial Program and the full IAIABC 99th Annual Convention, and partake in all programming, social events, and meals offered September 30-October 3, 2013. Rates start at $775 for IAIABC and NAWCJ members. Interested in attending the Judicial Program only? Rate is $150 as standalone event, and includes access to the Judicial Program on Monday, September 30 (from 1:00 - 4:00 pm) and Tuesday, October 1 (from 9:00 - 12:00 pm). The standalone rate includes a continental breakfast provided Tuesday morning only.
