02/21/2019

Comp Con San Diego, CA April 1-4 2019

The IAIABC presents CompCon will bring out the superhero in all of us as we fly to new heights to find solutions to reduce harm and aid recovery from occupational injuries and illnesses. In San Diego, California, April 1 – 4, The Forum presents CompCon will find “super” solutions for attendees to bring home to their organizations.

The Forum combines open committee meetings, seminars, and discussion sessions to address hot topics in workers’ compensation. The collaboration and dialogue between jurisdictional agency leaders and industry stakeholders provides invaluable insights into workers’ compensation challenges of today and tomorrow.

At The Forum, attendees will actively participate in discussions and presentations on some of the most critical issues impacting the industry. A Changing Employment Relationships seminar will welcome speakers including Dr. Joachim Breuer, President of the International Social Security Association and Director General of the German Social Accident Insurance; Dr. John Howard, Director of the National Institutes for Occupational Safety and Health; and Mr. Sergei Aleshchenko, Deputy Chairman of the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation.

During The Forum’s Medical Institute, attendees will hear about advanced technologies and how they are transforming medicine from diagnosis to treatment. A Judges’ Program, co-hosted by the IAIABC and National Association of Workers’ Compensation Judiciary (NAWCJ), welcomes judges, ALJs, judicial managers, and others involved in workers’ compensation disputes, to hear an overview of the California dispute system and then from a panel on law comparisons across states.

Committee meetings will feature discussions on return to work, PTSD legislation, PEOs, EDI Claims implementations, medical fee schedules, telemedicine, claims statistics, and more.

Online registration is open through March 20, 2019. Visit www.iaiabc.org/forum to learn more about the program and to register.
