EDI Claims Release 3.1 Training

With the publication of the IAIABC EDI Claims Release 3.1 Standard in August 2017, the IAIABC is offering two face-to-face training events for regulatory and industry professionals to get in-depth knowledge of how the Standard works. Participants can expect to: 

  • Understand the enhancements and new features of Claims Release 3.1.
  • Successfully capture the new and revised Data Elements (DNs) and apply the Data Processing Rules to them
  • Gain insight to post publication changes, changes in progress, and planned future enhancements. 
  • Learn how to complete the trading partner tables for collection of the new 02 transactions. (Jurisdictions)
  • Understand how to receive and process new MTCs, code values, and processing rules. (Jurisdictions)
  • Learn how to identify and initiate the new 02 change process based on published jurisdiction reporting requirements. (Industry)
  • Understand how to create and send new Maintenance Type Codes (MTCs), code values, and processing rules. (Industry)

IAIABC & NAWCJ Workers' Compensation Mediators' College

Sunday, September 30, 2018 -Tuesday, October 2,2018 | Williamsburg, Virginia |Sunday 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm Monday & Tuesday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm 

This program will provide advanced mediation training for those who are mediating in the field of workers’ compensation law. Included among the curriculum topics are:

  • Ethics
  • Negotiation theory
  • Dealing with impasse
  • The intersection of mediation and technology. 

Attendees will appreciate comprehensive instruction on:

  • Concepts
  • Strategies
  • Techniques to more effectively resolve claim disputes.

The hands-on program will allow participants to practice the mediation process from beginning to end. It provides 18.5 hours of general mediation training, including 3 hours of ethics.
