Stacey Roig

Stacey L. Roig has been a member of the MD Workers' Compensation Commission since 2009, initially as Program Manager of Employer Compliance. In that role, she established a compliance program for the Commission to maintain employer compliance in the statutory requirement for employers to provide compensation to injured workers. Stacey became Secretary of the Commission in 2010 and continued her work in compliance, serving on the Governor's Joint Task Force on Workplace Fraud. She continues to serve on that task force on behalf of the Chairman of the Commission. Stacey also serves as the Public Information Officer and Records Officer of the Commission. In July 2023, Stacey was named the Director of the Insurance Division, overseeing the Self-Insurance Program, Employer Compliance Program and Data Reporting for the Commission's Annual Report. Stacey attended her first IAIABC convention in September 2009 and became Vice Chair of the Compliance Committee after that convention. The Compliance and Self-Insurance and Insurance Committees joined forces and merged to become the Regulation Committee, which Stacey continues to serve as Chair. Prior to her work at the MD Workers' Compensation Commission, Stacey was Vice President of Banking Compliance for LaSalle National Leasing Corporation, the equipment finance subsidiary of LaSalle National Bank, which was merged into Bank of America in 2006. Stacey lives in Timonium, MD with her husband, Ray. They have two married adult children in Cincinnati, OH and Atlanta, GA.
