IAIABC Board of Directors Call for Candidates Closes August 12
The International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) is calling for candidates for its Board of Directors, the governing body of IAIABC. The board determines the vision, mission, and strategic direction for the association, so it has an important role in charting the future of the organization.
The IAIABC is a not-for-profit association representing government agencies charged with the administration of workers’ compensation systems as well as other workers’ compensation organizations in the private sector. Its mission is to find solutions to reduce harm and aid recovery from occupational injuries and illnesses. You can help it fulfill this mission.
Individuals interested in serving on the Board of Directors must be in an executive role in a member jurisdictional agency with policy and administrative responsibilities in workers’ compensation. The Nominating Committee may recommend up to two candidates for 2020-2021 term.
Members of the Board of Directors serve one year terms. The slate of candidates is voted on by the jurisdictional membership of the IAIABC at the Business Meeting to be held virtually on September 30, 2020.
Interested in board membership? If you are, we ask that you complete the application that can be found at https://www.iaiabc.org/board-of-directors. As part of the application, candidates will be asked to attach a current resume or CV. Applications should be received by August 12, 2020. Please contact Nominating Committee chair Abbie Hudgens at nominating@iaiabc.org with any questions about the Board of Directors or the nominating process.
