About

Organizations – regardless of geographic footprint and industry sector – can be victims of cyber criminals and human error. While much can be done to prevent and plan for cyber-attacks and data privacy and security incidents, the occurrence of these events is inevitable. Furthermore, data privacy and information security laws are enacted and amended constantly as the threat landscape rapidly evolves. This climate underscores the importance for entities of all kinds to implement thoughtful strategies to improve their compliance posture in this patchwork of privacy and security enforcement and mitigate the impact of data privacy and security incidents.

Based on Mullen Coughlin’s experience in handling over 35,000 data privacy and security incidents, including 4,290 in 2025 alone, this webinar, presented by Mullen Coughlin LLC Partner Brittany Bickel, will explore today’s prevailing cybersecurity risks, what organizations can do to protect themselves, and should an incident occur, how to respond and investigate the incident. Best practices to employ prior, during, and after a data privacy and security incident will be provided, as well as an in-depth look at the full lifecycle of a data privacy and security incident response.
