IAIABC to Host 107th Convention as Hybrid Event

IAIABC News,

The Convention of the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) is the Association’s flagship event, bringing together hundreds of workers’ compensation leaders from around the world to learn and share on policy issues impacting the industry.

The IAIABC Board of Directors faced a difficult decision in determining how to move forward with planning for the 107th Convention. After carefully considering Covid-19 cases, vaccination roll-outs, and Association member needs, the IAIABC Board of Directors has elected to host the IAIABC 107th Convention in-person with a virtual component.

The 107th Convention is scheduled for Tuesday, October 26 – Thursday, October 28, 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky. This “hybrid” conference will provide the opportunity for those who are comfortable traveling and attending in-person to do so, while giving a virtual option for those who elect not to travel. Many conference sessions will be available for virtual participation.

The health and safety of the IAIABC community is of the utmost importance and the decision was not taken lightly. The IAIABC Board of Directors appreciates and respects the opinions of those who may or may not want to attend the IAIABC Convention in-person and thanks the IAIABC community for their understanding as the Association moves forward in planning the conference.

Whether individuals decide to participate in-person or virtually, the IAIABC Convention will help the community connect and learn as we all work to find solutions to reduce harm and aid recovery from occupational injuries and illnesses.

More information about the IAIABC 107th Convention will be available soon. Visit www.iaiabc.org/convention to stay up-to-date.
